Reverend Paschal U. Onunwa

• Born Imo State, Nigeria, April 5, 1947 (Holy Saturday) -second son of Anthony and Anastacia Onunwa.
• Demonstrated keen interest in the Mass and altar service while a youngster at ST. Joseph Church, Uzoagba.
• Entered major seminary - August 1968.
• Ordained a Priest at home parish  -  St. Joseph Church by Bishop G.M.P Okoye, CSSP  - April 22,1974
• Associate Pastor and Pastor  - Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Enugu. 1974- 80.
• La Salle University - B.A. in English, Villanova University - M.A. in English,  Fordham University Ph.D in American Literature -  1980 thru 1988.
• Pastor -Our Lady of the Assumption Parish ( rural parish of more than four thousand families spread over eight miles)  Nike, Inugu.
• Summer visits to USA, St. Isaac Jogues invited by Msgrs. Nolan and Cunningham.
• Special missionary work per Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua and his bishop in Africa - active in many  activities and parish organizations.
